Site where you can automatically format/print off a whole deck?

For people like me who exclusively play casual kitchen table games, I don't really see the point in buying actual official cards.

So I'm wondering if there is a website similar to this one or actually THIS one (maybe I'm just not seeing the option), where you can type in a desired deck, and have it give you a PDF or something with the cards laid out on A4 paper or index card size or something like that, and I can just throw some cardstock in laserjet and grab a $12 paper cutter and have at it?

If not, I would like to request an option like this. I could go through and line them up myself, but not all my friends would want to, and the concept doesn't work unless everybody at the kitchen table game has equal access to it. It makes much more sense as a community project online.

Also, in addition to being vastly cheaper, I think that this would make the whole game much more fair and strategic and more of a fun battle of wits, because everybody at the kitchen table would have equal access to every card, and winning would PURELY be your skill in deck design and then how you play it, and nothing to do with your wallet.

So if you know of such a program or may be willing to help out with creating one or know somebody who might, I would very much appreciate it, thanks!

As much fun as this sounds, it would ruin the game of Magic for many players as there would be no point in the cards itself for even a casual format.

Or magiccards.info has a section where you can do that as well, when you look up a specific card at the bottom it has an option to add to a proxies page and it prints them out the right size for card sleeves

magiccards.info is what I use, although I only use it to test decks before I actually get the cards. Still, its really easy to use and the card sizes are perfect.

We would never host such a thing here since it infringes on Wizards' copyright and we try our best to stay on good terms with them.

I used to print proxies, before I found this site. Now there's no need to. And it saves me ink, I try my idea on here, then go buy or trade for cards to actually build the deck

Thanks, the bluebones site works nicely.

Yes, that's the point. No reason anymore to buy cards when you can print any one of them for like 20 cents and still play the game with it just fine. The physical cards aren't very important. The strategy is, and the game is much more strategic when you allow anybody to afford whatever they want, thus causing the winner to be the SMARTEST player, not some hybrid of smart / rich.

Note that If WOTC offered such a service, I would definitely use it instead. The ink doesn't cost any more for a Lotus Blossom than it does for a Doom Blade, and they could offer whatever cards you wanted for a slight premium (due to economies of scale). But they care more about nurturing a collector culture to make more money than they do about making making magic the best game it could be, so I'm not shedding many tears until/if they offer such a service.

I am not against proxies. I'm 17 and work full time and Magic is not an easy or cheap hobby. I'm pretty good about filling out my decks but to test with my friends I don't want to go spend $400 on a cheap deck that's actually modern playable and then find out that in the current meta it's not as good as I want it to be and have to scrap the deck most likely not being able to resell the cards until the meta changes which can take years for modern as most of the decks are very established. You still can't take proxies to sanctioned events or FNMs to compete but it's a great way to actually play and test decks before you go out and buy the whole thing
