Got this in Green Hills (Manila, Philippines)

Product: Dragon Shield card sleeves/protectors (Blue)They are made in Denmark and almost never break or split due to play.

Price: I got these for $11. (On Amazon they cost around $10.99)Kinda fair considering that it is 100+ sleeves per box, and that they almost never break or split, I recieved 4 extra sleeves free of charge. (And that it's imported) They also tend to get dirty when played on a plain surface like a kitchen table.

Appearance: Glossy, shiny and somewhat transparent. but the back is non-see through. kinda slippery but that is normal for new sleeves. When 60 MTG cards are put in these, they are about 1/5 thicker than Ultra Pro's.

Packaging: Seems highly legit, shows The Spoils on the back, a TCG/CCG game similar to Magic: The Gathering. came in shrink-wrapped.

Performance: Lives up to it's expectations, took me a good tug to rip the plastic cover off of one of the sleeves. Easy to shuffle but mine's is a little warped, the corners of the sleeves were pointing up and looked like they were spooning each other. And that they came with tiny white flaky things on the sides and bottom (Just gently scratched them off with my fingernail) When stacked,(When you first try them on anyway.) they tend to slide off each other and may cause mayhem during play.

TL;DR

TOTAL RATING: 4/5, I would recommend this for protecting your valuable cards.

I use dragon shields over the kmc tight fit ones. Use them on a fairly valuable edh deck. Have been very pleased with their quality - easy to shuffle and very tough. When they get dirty you can just rub the dirt off easily. I'm really happy with them.

I like dragon shields, I have used them for a bit now. But I can't stand how dirty they get and how quickly it happens. I bought some kmc super and they are as glossy and smooth as ds's, but not one dirt mark them. The kmc are just as strong and protective but a tad bit Thinner, so they aren't as thick when doubled sleeved. The kmc's also shuffle better because they aren't sticky like the ds's. But you only get 80 per pack with the kmc's which is fine for 60 card, but need to buy more for commander. Which is fine, you can get 800 or 10 packs of 80 for around 55 with shipping in the new US. So but kmc's in bulk if you can. At the moment I only use kmc supers.

My dragon shields do get really dirty and I just don't understand why they appear to attract more dirt than other brands. It doesnt make much sense or, rather, I kind think of a reason why it should happen. Regardless they clean up easily enough

I use dragonshelds for EDH purposes but for 60 card I'm starting to use KMC. Dragonshields will last forever if they aren't used every day but KMC wear out a little faster. I don't know about you but the prospect of resleeving 800 cards (I have 8 EDH decks) is daunting. KMCs are great for 60 card formats though because you can shuffle them so easily.

@Ohthenoises, Jaysus, 800 cards to resleeve! that would cost you around $88+!

Yeaaaaaaa. Hence why I get DS for those. I don't play them a ton but they do get brought out a bit when I'm showing off. DS are perfect for my applications.

8 EDH decks built over the course of nearly 2 years though so it spreads out.

The same day I bought my Dragon Shield sleeves i saw this 13-15 yr kid buying 6-8 Ultra Pro sleeves and a orange deckbox with his mum, i think i recall him asking if they had playmats... Maybe he's building some EDH decks?

LOL, I had an urge to suggest buying Dragon Shield or KMC for his sake. Couldn't have said it better myself!

I still don't know how to remove the white lines on the sides and bottom of the sleeves, gently scratching them doesn't seem to do a thing.

Any suggestions?

ive never used dragon shields, im not a fan of the gloss but ive only heard good things about the durability.

i use ultra pros and ive never ripped a sleeve edh wise, they hold up great in my casual and competitive deck, they dont slip off each other as easily and im just starting to rip my ultra pros from DGM prerelease that ive been using for standard, 3 sleeves out of 100 down in 7? months is fine with me.

ive only heard good thingsa bout KMC hyper mats so maybe ill give them a shot, ultra pro sleeves are taking care of my entire ascension set so im hoping those hold up lol no problems so far, and about 300 of them were donated used sleeves

I have legion because of their fun art. I am careful / gentle with my cards and only one of the 11 sets (I have two sets that are something else - but not DS or KMC) has shown wear. There has been no splitting or ripping - just some scratches (from my cat?) on the card-face side of one and some wrinkles (on the card face side again) from smashing the top of a deck box on it ... and one scratch on the design side that I only saw once when the light hit it at an odd angle.

I buy for style and because I like the way the sleeves feel / sound etc. I don't do a lot of heavy tournament play and am careful to shuffle on the sides in 4 piles etc.
