I was told 3 different ways: Mirror, Mir (Mer), Myr (Mire) which is correct?

I've always pronounced it like the first sound you get from saying the first syllable in 'mirror.' Rhymes with leer, sear, fear, etc. A lot of names in this game are made up, so there will always be debate over how certain names are pronounced, as it isn't always clear.

I say Meer, or Mer however i feel like saying it. I've never heard the Mire pronunciation before.

I say either Meer or Mur, depending on how lazy I am at pronouncing that day.

You just love being different hey 2austin5? :D
The first time I saw it I said it as 'my-er' (probably the same as your 'mire'), just because it sounded right at the time. Everybody else I know says it like either 'mur' or 'mir'; they sound very much the same, but with slightly different emphasis. :)

Actually, on second thoughts... I have the perfect way to pronounce it: say it like "Myr". Lol.. :)

It's pronounced as "mirror" and rhymes with fear, leer, ect. You can tell because that's how you pronounce Mirrodin.

M'ir, like mirror mir, or you can elongate it to have a 'U' sound as in murder Mur.
Y without a second vowel after it or a consonant immediately followed by a vowel like type or tycoon, gives the lower cased i sound like in: gym; hymn; lymph; so Myr is like Mir space station.

That's actually a darn good point Minousmancer, never really thought of it that way... It does make sense though.

Just because something appears as such does not mean that it supports a second case. The english language is pretty janky to read lol. Unfortunately, After research, Mark Rosewater himself said that myr rhymes with beer. I'm going to say it mer anyways.

I've heard Meer and Mer, but I personally go with Mer. It's easier for me to say anyway. And a robot race's name sounding like the name of a space station is kinda cool.
