Double sleeved cards

I have my Modern deck double sleeved and it is way thicker than the original deck. I know that I added another sleeve to it but my friends double sleeved decks are just slightly thicker then the original ones. I am using Ultra-Pro pro-fit sleeves upside down on the cards and regular glossy Ultra-Pro sleeves regular side up. The deck is always filled with air and I do not know what to do.

I personally use the KMC Perfect Fits and Dragon Shields for double sleeves. Air is going to get in there to some degree, thats just going to happen. You can lessen the amount though by placing the deck on a table or desk and slowly press down on the stack with your palm to press it out, ease off and repeat.

Resleeve it carefully to squeeze the air out after the first and second sleeves. Or, just use one sleeve per card (which is what I do) unless you plan on spilling orange juice on the deck...

@KrosanTusker, the double sleeves are meant to protect investments. Cards do take some level of damage from play in a singular sleeve, especially foils. I personally do it because I play a lot of foils and expensive things, I would hate to slowly wear down my playset of Goyfs

Double-sleeved cards will naturally be thicker, but it will take time to get the excess air out of the sleeves. Try storing the deck in a tight-fitting box and leaving it for a while.

Are the KMC perfect fits the ones that are like really tight penny sleeves?

Yes, but they're higher quality.
