I'm sure everybody with a Smartphone has downloaded one, but which? My friend made, and our edh group loves, Awesome Magic Life Counter for iPhones. He just uploaded the second version of it, so I figured I'd post it here as well.

Download it and give it awesome reviews. Or hateful feedback. Which ever you feel necessary.

Unfortunately I have a droid, which he hasn't made one for yet. I use dice.

I personally use MTG Tracker. My roommate uses something different. It's all up to personal opinion.

Well, that and actually finding them. From what I understand, Wizards has been sending cease and desist letters to everyone that's made an app before, since the new official Magic app is available. But, that's just what I hear.

I've got the official MTG app "MTG toolbox" that has a life counter, articles, deckbuilder, events, oracle and more. Now I have't had a chance to test most of these features yet.

The cease and desist letters were to the apps that used licensed WotC imagery.

Well, you have a Droid so this won't help you, but the MTG Toolbox on the iPhone is pretty good. The lifecounter feature is pretty functional, it's possible to save player profiles if you play with the same group of people a lot, and it has a built-in card search if you need to look up a ruling. Hopefully they'll release a Droid version soon.

MTG Tracker is by far the best one I've found for android. I've heard a rumor that Wizards is sending cease and desist letters to all of the competition to help bolster sales of MTG Toolbox though.

I have two life counter apps on my Droid. MTG Droid and MTG life and poison

MTG Toolbox is free. Why would they need to bolster the sales of a free app?

Also, if you read the reviews of the WotC app, they all suck. I wouldn't advise getting it. Instead, just get MTG Life and Poison, and for card search use Orcish Librarian. That app is amazing.

My girlfriend downloaded It for free on her iPhone. It has some pretty low ratings but I haven't really had any problems with it other than its slow to load and update

The new version of the above app is out. Awesome Magic Life Counter app for iPhone and iPod Touch, free as ever. I'm glad some people find it so useful, because it was fun as hell to make.
