Checklist cards???

So, i was just wondering what to actually "check" on a checklist card.. i know that i have to check beside the name. but what about the square at bottom right corner???
someone at my lgs is saying that he was told to write the power/thoughness of the creature the checklist card was representing. but i can't find anything about if that is the right way or not... my guess is that it could be the card number...?
anyone know for sure??

Yeah there is literally nothing that says you have to put anything there. The ONLY thing you have to do on the checklist card is bubble in which card it is. Source.
