I am evilmonkey there too. I'll probably be on to play in a couple of hours if anybody else is interested. I'm more than happy to help with playtesting or just play for fun :).

Errr, I won't download something without knowing exactly what it is =/ Last time I rnadomly downloaded stuff, I ended up losing a lot of data to a blue screen

It's multi-platform software for playing magic used by hundreds of people. Understanable to be cautious though. If it makes you feel any better, my comp is all good :).

Now you should be able to run cockatrice right? There's a deck builder tab in there. Build your deck, and then I would suggest starting a local game under the cockatrice tab with one player and practicing with the interface before you go in and start playing.

Unfoetunately, I am on my iTard at work right now, so I won't be able to play for another 2 hours at least. And that's a good question lol. I think there is a way to search for user names. Oh ya, you can also register on Cockatrice by going to the website.

First go to the cockatrice tab and click connect. It'll open several tabs and should take you straight to the mtg room. From there you can filter for formats that you want to play. And from there you can just hit create game and wait for someone to join, or you can click on an open match and click join game. Or you can spectate games that allow spectators.

umbro, sorry about the slow response, phone crapped out on me. Just connect with the default options. if you aren't registered just enter any name and it'll work.

I do when I'm not tired of getting screwed out of good hands.
Seems like 75% of the time I play on Cockatrice, I get zero lands or seven lands in my opening hands. With 24 lands in the deck.
And that almost never happens in real-life, so the only reasonable explanation is that Cockatrice has a pretty sketchy shuffling system.
