Altered cards - best paint?

Not sure if this is the right forum; if it isn't, feel free to move it.
I've decided that, after seeing other people's work and getting feedback from friends, that I'm going to start doing altered cards. However, I haven't done any sort of art, and painting in particular, since I was in high school, and I haven't done any art on something like a MTG card at all.
So my question is this. What paint is the best to use for altering a MTG card? And where is the best place to find these?
Thanks in advance!

Oh that's cool. I used to paint 40k miniatures too. Now if only I can remember what paint I used... Lmao

You want acrylics. As for brand, I don't know whether the community has a preference.

Alters are pretty much all done in Acrylic paint since it dries quickly and is water-soluble. I use "Master's Touch" brand paints. I haven't actually tried other brands, but I've very satisfied with that brand and have no reason to change it. That being said, I've also heard that Warhammer (as mentioned above) does fine too.
The brand probably doesn't make a difference as long as it's decent quality.

And the alter god checks in. :D Thanks a bunch. I'll have to check out the Master's Touch that you mentioned. Where do you normally get yours from?

The "Alter God", eh? xD
I just get them from Hobby Lobby. Nothing too special.

Warhammer paint actually works really well.
