Yes, fetches have been confirmed, however not the other five we all wanted. We now have a chance of getting a life land or KTK fetch inplace of a basic land in the FRF boosters.
What will happen to the prices of the fetches we know and love now that they will be more common?
Are you guys excited about this announcement?

Prices won't change. The chances of pulling a fetch are very low, and there won't be enough of them to significantly impact the current supply. Add to that the fact that FRF is a small set in the middle of a block (which translates to reduced popularity and therefore reduced opening) and you definitely shrink the possible impact.

This is the exact same plan they went with when dragon's maze came out. Replace a basic with guildgates, or a chance at a shock land in the land slot. Like it was previously mentioned, the chance of getting a fetch land is very slim.

Also, since this is an economics discussion, it belongs in Economics. Moved. And check the forums next time. There's an existing thread about this (limited to foils, but usable) that could have been added to.

What exactly are the odds of pulling one of the five fetches in Fate Reforged?

Very low. About the same as pulling a shock from DGM.
The vast majority of packs will have either a basic or a refuge.

It seems to be to just be a ploy to get more people to buy FRF, since it's a small middle set and it's rotating out before the last set of KTK block (thanks to the new rotation pattern).

This has been announced a little while ago, so I think we have talked about it...
But anyways, the fetch price won't be affected much. There is only a REALLY small chance, that you'll get a fetch land.
I'm not excited at all. I want be pulling any of them anyways...
