Going to a tournament on Monday, need deck help.

Deck Help forum

This is the first deck I've made to be Type 2, and I am not used to playing single player. (I usually play with 4-6 people)

Nameless

It is just a casual free tournament, but I've never played one before. Any general tips so I don't make too much of a fool out of myself?

  1. Know your lingo.
  2. Don't ask to take back a stupid move. Makes you look noobish.
  3. Cast creatures after attacking. *
  4. Shuffle properly, and offer your opponents the chance to shuffle your deck.
  5. Bring your own tokens and life counter. *
  6. Don't ragequit.
  7. Don't scoop.
  8. No seriously, DON'T.
  9. If you must scoop (and I stress, MUST), only do it if you can't do anything the turn before your opponent would beat you anyway.
  10. Offer a handshake.
  11. If you win, don't be cocky.
  12. Consult the rules if a situation arises. Get a qualified judge. Or the internet. That works too. *
  13. Don't abuse the stack. Wait for the active player declare that they finish casting a spell before responding. Sometimes players cast another non-instant spell or activate non-instant abilities without giving you a chance to respond to their previous move (These players are usually Johnnys. Rarely Spikes). If this happens, ask them to take back their move so you can respond.
  14. Don't cheat.
  15. Have fun.
  16. These are situational.

(Lol, I was mostly asking for help on my deck, but thanks)

First, what is "scoop"?

Second, I've always just used a piece of paper as my life counter, should that be acceptable? I don't have one of those fancy spin-down ones.

paper is fine. Also keep track of your opponents life total just in case.

You should try a Kuldotha Red deck, they are cheap to throw together and hard for many decks to answer to.
