Skyrim Custom Set
Custom Cards forum

I was playing Skyrim last night and thought it would be cool if we (the Tapped Out community) spit balled some ideas for a Skyrim set. I was thinking a tribal set with Deadras (including Dremora), Orcs and Dwarves. The first card I considered:
Alduin, the World Eater 3(B)(R)(G)
Type: Planeswalker - Alduin
Loyalty: 4
+1 - Destroy target artifact or enchantment
0 - Draw two cards, discard two cards
-8 - Alduin, the World Eater becomes a 6/6 Dragon creature with "whenever this creature deals combat damage, exile target creature card from any graveyard."

Over-encumbered -2W
Enchantment
Enchant Target creature. Enchanted Creature can't attack or block, and loses all activated abilities.

I think that -3 is pretty OP. Well, depending. It could be a dead ability, or it could be OP. Depending on how many dragons there are in the set and how many don't have shroud/hexproof. Because typically dragons are strong, so repeated removal is kinda sad. Just because any kind of dragon deck is dead to this card. There are plenty of dragons I've died to (mainly because I'm a lv4 vampire. I troll the frost dragons so hard though. Frost resistance and Nord blood for the win)

As far as guild alliances go, for GW there could be some sort of Agriculture guild. All of the farmers, stable owners, lumber mill owners. They play a large part of the game, and there are few guilds/alliances that are that involved that haven't been mentioned yet. As for GU, maybe Falmer. U doesn't seem like an obvious choice, but there are plenty of powerful Falmer wizards. They also have that affiliation with the Chaurus and Alchemy. I'm grasping at straws here

I like the ideas in it and how they accurately portray things from a gameplay pespective (although I'd kinda argue that he could be U or B considering you are given plenty of opportunity to perform actions associated with those colors). I feel like it has too much of an insular quality though. A set being to focused on the things that set is doing to the exclusion of the game as a whole is part of why Kamigawa was a flop. It had awesome flavor, some good cards and about a thousand cards that related almost exclusively to cards also really only seen in Kamigawa.
(I rambled on here for a while but I deleted it because it sounded belligerent and accusatory no matter how I tried to phrase it, so yeah. haha)

@TitansFTW I love the Dovahkiin planeswalker. And I think the -3 is quite fair, since if you use it the turn you cast it, it's gone lol
@Dritz yeah the ideas so far are definitely meant to work together, but we barely have half a set so far ; )

I've done something about this by myself.
Spells and Shouts ingame (Skyrim) can be sorcery (Spells) and instant (Shouts).
Some people in Skyrim, like Astrid in the Dark Brotherhood, General Tullius and Jarl Ulfric, could be planeswalkers. Also, specific weapons and armor (Mace of Mo-lag Bal and Hunter's Fleece Thingy.) would be good as artifacts. You know... everything could be transitioned... both games! Land (Provinces & Cities), Creatures (What do think they would be? CREATURES), and quests could be some sort of spells or something. I've overlooked the cities, and North is White/ Red, Blue, or Green, and south is Black/ Red, Blue, or Green.
And I have many more... but those are other games...

For the planeswalkers I think it should be characters who have crossed over to Sovingarde or Oblivion...a Mehrunes Dagon planeswalker maybe?

Falmer Helm - 6
Equipment
Equipped Creature gets +1/+0 and is unblockable. When Falmer Helm is Equipped you may search your deck for another Equipment card with converted mana cost 3 or less and attach it to Equipped creature, if you do sacrifice Falmer Helm after the next End Step.
Equip- 5

I've come up with a Dovahkiin Planeswalker. What do you guys think?
The set symbol is mean to be the stereotypical Skyrim helmet, but it's a bit blurry.
