Card Wars

Yes, I'm talking about card game invented in tv show Adventure Time. In season 4, episode 14 Jake and Finn played this awesome interactive card game and some time after that they released this very same game as android/iphone app.

My question is, is there any fellow tappers here who also enjoy playing Card Wars? Any thoughs about the game? Favorite lands to play?

I personally like to play mostly 2corn/2nice mixup but I have though of trying 2corn/2sand. Personally I don't like adding more than 2 colors at the time.

There are couple of big problems with the game though. First of all: it has many major bugs in it. The fact that if opponent can't play any creatures on their t1, the game freezes. This get super annoying because you lose your winning streak only because some retard doesn't know how to balance out their decks. And then there is Falling stars and if opponent uses it in t1, you will lose the game for exact same reason (because you're left with 0 mana and only way to do something without freezing the game is to forfeit).

Second big downfall is that there just isn't enough different cards yet. They seem to add new one with every update but at this point the amount is still pretty low so there isn't that much variance in the games.

Third big problem is their greed. this freemium shit and the fact that buying 4 chest (getting 4 card that are random) costs about the same as buying one mtg booster. Those prices are just bat shit crazy. Luckily you can get gems from the game also but after you have finished the main guests you can only get those from tournaments and that mean max 2 gems per 2 weeks (1 chest need 3 gems).

There are lots of bad things but there is also lots of potential in this game. What you guys think? What are your frustration points?

I also have though about new MTG format that would utilize game mechanics from Card wars. There would be color fields and you could only play creatures of that color on those but at the same time casting costs work as colorless. Mana system could be build also like in card wars instead of lands (you start with 2 mana, next turn 3 mana, next 4 and so on). What do you think, could it have potential?

I liked it too, JexInfinite. Though, now that I have played the game pretty much I have rewatched it and it was kind of horribly to watch how badly they played :D Also, all the card mentioned in that episodes are also included in the actual game. Most of them though have different abilities and/or they work differently.

So is this like a real card game or just digital? Cause my 8yo son said he saw a game called "card wars" and showed it to me at one of my lgs recently but for the life of me I can't remember seeing anything like that and thought he was thinking about the Star Wars card game we was looking at

It's only digital. There are lots of element that change constantly so it would be really hard to play with real cards, though not impossible.

Both android and iOS. Like I already stated on my first comment :) It's not free though, but not expensive either.

It has a physical version, although I don't know if it is the same game or not as I have never played the digital variant. It is very fun.
