First game versus a mono red aggro deck I won 2-1, only lost first round because I wasn't expecting such intense speed from a purely red deck (think I lost around turn 3 or 4)

Sided out anything that didn't have immediate effect (both legion's initiatives, assemble the legion, 1x aurelia and angelic skirmisher), sided in 2x mizzium mortars and 3x oblivion rings and won the remaining 2 rounds... generally turn 2 I would searing spear the first creature I could, turn 3 I'd destroy 2 or 3 creatures with flames of the firebrand.

Next went 2-1 against a red/green aggro deck, no real surprises here... won the first round which consisted almost exclusively of legion loyalist / rancor like every turn, second round I sided in the 2x mortars again but nothing else, then I started seeing wolfir silverhearts and lost that round... then sided in the 3x oblivion rings as extra insurance against larger threats, third round I consistently kept wolfirs at bay with warleader's helixes and ended up winning from a near-loss with aurelia, skirmisher and guttersnipe on the board; first swing gave creatures lifelink and attacked only with both angels, then gave all first strike and swung with all 3 as he had only 1 creature with 2 toughness on the board by then.

Third game I went 2-0 against a white/blue control deck, for 2 turns in a row I'd go to attack with a guttersnipe, he would flash in a snapcaster mage to block, but in response I hit it with a warleader's helix, healing myself for 4 and damaging him for 2 regardless, won that one pretty much outright. Second game since I knew snapcaster was in there I boarded in both rest in peace, had one in my opening hand, took 2 for a shockland just to push it out on turn 2 and it pretty much ruined him the rest of the game.

Fourth game didn't happen because at this point I was 3rd place for the entire event so me any my opponent just elected to call it a draw, I ended up finishing 4th overall as a result.

I did play him one game just for fun though and despite having repeatedly incredible board presence which, at one point, included over 18 red/white soldier tokens (courtesy of assemble the legion), and at another I believe a firemane avenger, a guttersnipe and aurelia, and at another point even included me using zealous conscripts to steal tamiyo and use her ultimate to score the emblem that allowed me to cast flames of the firebrand as many times as I want, nothing could get through my opponent's repeating pattern of: fog, sphinx's revelation, supreme verdict... fog, sphinx's revelation, supreme verdict... quite the "ugh, seriously?" deck, 30+ minutes just to play through one game, only to lose to a stinking aetherling, yuck.

As a result of that last game, and as it does somewhat make sense, I've taken out the 2 legion loyalists and replaced them with skullcracks, as there is otherwise just no way to deal with that. If I did have it and sided it in, I would have -- numerous times -- done enough damage to swing for lethal damage.
