Flawless victories —Sept. 20, 2021

The current incarnation of this deck I could not be more pleased with.

It was immensely difficult getting the two strategies to work seamlessly together but I can say with great pleasure that this deck plays in harmony with itself. It picks apart my opponents' strategies and deflects their plans while simultaneously protecting itself and assembling its own strategic wins.

The Aikido-Control interface supports the more traditional Pillowfort/Cruel Control enchantments and the disparate mana values mean I can drop big enchantments but still protect myself with plenty of fogs and evasion and make myself as unattractive a target as possible. The card draw is at the perfect level. The only issue this deck runs into is if it cannot ramp early and consistently. However, even with one mana rock on board I can still do SO much. In the event this deck does NOT draw at least one mana rock, I still have a fighting chance by hanging back, but just that little bit of ramp gives the consistency and reliability to feel secure. It really is great how not mana-hungry this build is.

Anyway I won 4 games in a row today and Marchesa was absolutely flawless.

the only thing I'm considering adding is a Sensei's Divining Top. I'm not sure what I would even take out. Maybe I'll just save it for another deck.
