I deviated from the original plan. I added 8 more MDFC's and decided to run 100 test hands. I didn't play any through to record success, because I just wanted to see the effect on the amount of dead hands. Results:

30 one land
27 two land
13 three land
14 four land
As you can see, there has been a drastic reduction in the amount of dead hands. It is much higher than a usual deck, but much more acceptable.
