Test Batch 1 —Sept. 28, 2020
This was a small batch of 50 opening hands. Any hand with 0 "lands" was marked as dead and a new hand was drawn. While it would be possible to have a success with a dead hand, it is extremely unlikely, so to save time, I didn't play them out. Any hand with 1 or more land was played out. The results are as follows: 23 dead hands 22 1 land hands 3 2 land hands 2 3 land hands 18 successes
The test results aren't exactly great. For the next round of tests, I will do another 50, but for each success, I will also record the original land count and the turn at which the Citadel was cast. I believe that the solution is just to increase the number of "lands," but outside of a few more MDFC's, I don't think there are anymore ways to get free mana like that in Esper.
