I gave Altar of Dementia a shot to see if I'd gain any more value out of it than Spawning Pit was giving me, but in the end I'd rather have a few 2/2s on board than mill a single opponent a few cards. My deck can go infinite with Grave Titan, Nim Deathmantle, and Ashnod's Altar, but it isn't the primary goal, so the extra bodies and sac fodder that Spawning pit gives is better in the end. Spawning Pit also draws a lot less hate than Altar of Dementia.
