I'm currently supporting Steeple Roc, though Opal Lake Gatekeepers is a tempting choice as well.

Suppose I'll point the obvious that there's zero black in this pack, telling a little about our left side.

There's also 0 useable Green or Red.

Might say something, but it's a bit too early to tell with only 2 cards missing, and our second pack not really having any readable information on its own since we can barely determine even the rarity of the card missing.

For all we know the 2 missing cards in this pack were also Azorius which would mean that everyone who is suckered into going Azorius because of these cards would have compete with like half the table. (Though the odds that the missing uncommon from this pack was either Ascended Lawmage or Jelenn Sphinx are pretty low)

+1 Steeple Roc

I'm not overly enthusiastic about that pick, but it isn't the worst choice.

Honestly, we haven't exactly been seeing the best cards of the format. Might just be a good idea to continue sticking to white and see what comes in the second pack. We could very well open that bomb that dictates another color (though I will be sad if it's Aetherling lol).

I know it's a little early, but shall we call it at Steeple Roc, then?

I guess although I still really want render silent. But we do need some creatures

+1 Steeple Roc

I suppose that i was outvoted, eh? And all in all it isn't a TERRIBLE choice. I'd just prefer pretty much any other flier.

If it makes you feel any better. I was on the verge of voting for Render Silent myself.

Three cluestones, yay!

Rot Farm Skeleton
Azorius Cluestone
Azorius Guildgate
Battering Krasis
Golgari Cluestone
Hired Torturer
Maze Abomination
Mending Touch
Nivix Cyclops
Pilfered Plans
Rakdos Cluestone
Uncovered Clues

Huh.
My gut tells me to go for an Azorius pick. My brain tells me to sleep on it. Not sure much will come of that.

June 26, 2013 2:33 a.m.

I'm feeling either the Azorius Guildgate or the Golgari cluestone. We've already passed things like Render Silent and so on, and Golgari cluestone sets us up for a light black splash if we want to do that (with the Willing half of Read / Willing).

However Guildgates are less common and it's likely we'll come across another cluestone in our potential colors later on, so I feel like we might just want to grab the Azorius Guildgate.

Waiting to voice my final vote 'til I see what other people have to say.

Better then more Protect / Serve >.>

And as much as I want to pick that Azorius Guildgate SOLELY out of spite I know better.

The two picks I'm looking at are the Battering Krasis and the Rot Farm Skeleton.

While someone to our right (and possibly our left) might be picking black there's a good chance that blue is already their second color and with that last pack they may have started picking up white as well. There's a good chance that Golgari is open and I'm never against getting some Korozda Gorgon's as well.

Battering Krasis would be the safer pick in regards to keeping our colors open in case of a pack 2 bomb, but in regards to signaling the skeleton is better. It's likely that someone already has green to our right (Likely Green / Blue) and another Battering Krasis isn't going to exactly change their mind.

The Skeleton very well may though (assuming that they haven't already decided to go white from the hoard of Protect / Serves.

One isn't necessarily superior over the others. One gambles for a pack 2 bomb, while the other plays for better picks to be passed to us.

Also, offtopic but, Congratulations on the round 1 win GureiSeion in the Golgari challenge.

Sorry about the loss zaddos D:

but hey, 2/3 isn't bad for Team Gureiskull.

Ok. Choose the better card before worrying about signals.

+1 battering krasis

June 26, 2013 9:18 a.m.

I think it's still too early to to pick up fixing, and with that said I have to agree with Supersun. I'm looking at the Battering Krasis and the Rot Farm Skeleton.

Focusing on those two we have a Krasis that thrives when evolving and a Skeleton that holds up well with a theme of attrition. If we feel like we can decide this early to go junk or WBg I say take the Skeleton. We have some good base cards for a build like that. If we decide to stay safe and keep our options open, then we could stick with the Battering Krasis.

I like risks, so I'll go +1 Rot Farm Skeleton

@Supersun - Thank you sir, and likewise to your victory. I must admit some jealousy towards comboing Protean Hulk (an old favorite of mine) with Gleancrawler. Hopefully one of us shall avenge zaddos!

Another pretty terrible pack. Nothing really compelling. Fixing can happen later. DGM is THE fixing set for this block, so i think we'll be ok passing some up for now. As for the dudes, its difficult to decide, and I just woke up. Someone convince me.
