Collective Brutality has made its way out of the deck. Even though the escalation is part of the mechanism of this deck, it isn't a card advantage card in the current metagame. Yes control is still there and the format is balancing with combo, control and aggro decks. However, the decks themselves have evolved with specific strategies that must be countered. Collective Brutality is not countering those strategies. We moved to two different fronts for the deck. Thought-Knot Seer is forceful against a variety of decks and is a problem for newer strategies. Strategies that focus on the contribution of combo and affects of cards that impact the affects of other cards. This was also why we added 1x Arlinn Kord. She alone can dismantle control strategies, but backed up with Liliana and Chandra, she gets even better against aggro strategies as well. W/U Flash has a harder time with these strategies as does Aetherwork Marvel strategies.
