More Major Changes —Feb. 19, 2018
I've made some more serious changes to the deck. If y'all think I'm moving in the wrong direction, please correct me. I aim to make the best bird deck possible (without buying a tundra). I took out Thieving Magpie (because in games it was under performing), Arctic Aven (it seems over costed for what it does), Beacon Hawk (I have no need for the untap effect, so it's ended up as a 1/1 for 2), Raven Familiar (I only really used it to dig and there are 1 mana instants in color that can basically do the same thing), and Skullclamp (there's not much to clamp in the deck). In there place I added Harsh Mercy (A nice somewhat single sided board wipe), Everflowing Chalice (it gives me something to proliferate), Hour of Revelation (I felt like it would end up being more useful than fumigate), True Conviction (birds need all of the buffs they can get), Shared Triumph (a cheap anthem), and thought vessel (ramp that lets me draw without fear of consequences). Currently I feel like I'm light on creatures and lands, but I don't know what I'd take out in their stead. I'm waiting to buy a metallic mimic as it would be outstanding with all of the proliferating; and I was thinking of adding Aven Sunstriker, Cyclonic Rift, Rhystic Study, Contagion Engine, Talisman of Progress, Ponder, and other things of that nature. Not sure where I'd fit them though. Regardless, thanks for reading my somewhat ramble-y update, and I hope you find birds useful in some way. Any help and feedback is greatly appreciated.
