8/4/2020 Ban Update —Aug. 4, 2020

Praise be to WotC for killing Inverter. With that deck gone I feel that Goblins can come back into the format. Goblins had 0 ways to interact with the Inverter combo and would just lose to it as a U/B control deck while crossing fingers that they didn't just have the win any given turn. I'm not playing the deck, as I only play Paper, but take these changes as a place to start.

Main Deck: -1 Ringleader, -2 Instigator; +3 Conspicuous Snoop

Testing out the Snoop as the new 2nd best 2 drop in goblins. I almost cut the Stoke the Flames, but I feel the interaction is important in game 1. That may be incorrect based on the meta as it solidifies.

Side: -3 Experimental Frenzy, -1 Damping Sphere; +1 Chainwhirler, +1 Trashmaster, +2 Hour of Devastation

Snoop is our Frenzy, and we can play it main deck now. This may be wrong as diversifying threats can be important against control decks, testing will improve this. We can cut one Damping sphere, but I expect Lotus Field decks to continue to exist, just be a little slower without Breach. Chainwhirler and Trashmaster are in as Elves & artifact based decks will probably make a resurgence. The Hours of Devastation are specifically for Spirits. The deck was very strong before and is able to fly over our Goblins. It answers all of their threats, costs 5 so it can't be got by Spell Queller, and removes indestructible. Goblins can draw more cards than spirits with Ringleader and now Snoop.

Good luck and stay safe!
