FNM January 28th
Last friday night I went 3-2.
Changes I made:-2 Rattleclaw Mystic-1 Butcher of the Horde
+1 Soulflayer+2 Warden of the first tree.
Rd1: Lost 0-2AbzanControl. Tough matchup as they have constant answers to everything you put down. Sideboard is perfect for this matchup but if you dont get a single soul/disdainful stroke its tough to win.
Rd2: won 2-0Mirror match 5C Aggro vs my friend. He was running tasigur/torrent ele. Instead of the butcher. You need the 2 butchers for air superiority.
Rd3: won 2-0 Mono green frontier siege. Ez game. Target mana rampers. Get flyers and fleecemanes for indestruct. GG to ez.
Rd4: Won 2-0Abzan Midrange/controlish. Perfect game for my deck. Starting hand was golden. Ran him over. Game 2 Sideboard was present throughout game. disdainfuls win match.
Rd5: Lost 0-2This was for 2nd place for that FNM Deck I played against was the 4C Delve with sidisi/whip influence. This deck is insane and works almost like this 5C aggro deck. Game 1: Started with 4 Lands and drew 5 more back to back. Shitty game. Game 2: very intense match. Had a couple mantis riders, savage knuckleblad, a sorin, and a mana ramper/utter end. Land count was perfect. He hit me with 2 thoughtseize and a dispise clearing my hand before presence was made. I came back with a siege rhino and 1 soul that he took out before it got into play with another dispise so was only able to activate his ability once. After he got all 3 of his wingmates from his deck I just GGd. As i was already at 6 health with the next card being a land.
Deck is very competative as 2 weeks in a row now i have played for 1st/2nd place. Will play it again this week and post updates here. And will be taking it to winter regionals.
