Eidolon of the Great Revel and Souflre Grand master

If i have both Eidolon of the Great Revel and Soulfire Grand Master on the battlefield, and Eidolon of the Great Revel triggers on the opponent, would i gain that much life? Also, if I trigger it, will it not give me back the same amount of life I lost?

Not with Soulfire Grand Master, no. Soulfire gives lifelink to instant and sorcery spells, but the source of the damage is Eidolon of the Great Revel, a creature. Giving Eidolon lifelink somehow (Unexpected Fangs?) will work the way you're hoping here.

Even though the instant or sorcery is what's causing Eidolon to trigger, it's ultimately the Eidolon itself that's dealing the damage. All Soulfire Grand Master gives lifelink to is the actual instant/sorcery, and lifelink as an ability only causes life to be gained when the source that has it deals damage. Hope this clears up any possible source of confusion you may have had ;)
