so anyways, a bunch of +1/+1 counters and unblockable

ok but seriously this deck has two major win cons

swing with a really big creature that can't be blocked or get that juicy simic ascendancy to 20+ counters

let me lay it all out, starting with the sneaky type stuff

triton shorestalker, gudul lurker, blighted agent, elusive krasis, and jhessian infiltrator are all my low cost unblockables. I can suspend kraken for 3 which isn't that much of an issue in big groups either. Herald of Secret streams also gives everything including itself potentially unblockable as long as it has a +1/+1 which isn't hard to do with this deck

aqueous form, invisibility, and cloak of mists all let me get any of my juicy monsters behind enemy lines undisturbed. Thassa and rogue's passage also let me do the same thing but for a repeatable fee. (I'm not into the one time use cards of the same effect)

Now onto the true muscle of the deck

Ainok guide, hooded hydra, primordial hydra, contortionist troupe, stonecoil serpent, servent of the scale, and phantom centaur all can enter with +1/+1 counters and a level of either support, defense, power creep or some kind of insurance.

avatar of the resolute and prime speaker zagana also enter with counters, but the efficacy is dependent on my board state at the time of summoning.

satyr grovedancer, dauntless survivor, and merfolk skydiver are all independent in that they buff themselves or support another creature upon entry.

scute mob, sphinx of magosi, hydra broodmaster, kavu predator, chasm skulker, fathom mage, managorger hydra, forgotten ancient, and tuskguard captain all have ways to give themselves +1/+1 counters under certain conditions.

Now for our support group

vorinclex MR, and Master biomancer are my counter accelerant creatures and synergizes nicely with branching evolution, hydra's growth, and hardened scales.

bioshift, essence capture, oran-rief vastwood, solidarity of heroes, give, and earthern arms all get my creatures roided up fairly cheaply.

though not the main focus of my deck, my draw power comes from bred for the hunt, inspiring call, take, and tezzeret's gambit. Chasm skulker and horizon chimera appreciate these cards.

my land/mana development team is sakura-tribe elder, growth spiral, myriad landscape, sol ring, kodama's reach, cultivate, and tempt with discovery. oh and of course each fetch land present.

plasm capture lets me say no, and take their mana. vorinclex, VoH is there to milk my land for its worth while starving my enemy.

miscellaneous support comes from bounce by unsummon, disperse, cyclonic rift, displacement wave specifically for cheap token hate, counterspell, fog, and lifegain in the form of predator's rapport and feed the clan

But what of my commander?

well I found cards like refocus and benefactor's draught to not be cost effective for what it lets me do; 6 mana to activate his ability twice in one turn is just too much.

kiora's follower does it more than one turn for free, and illusionist's bracers and lithoform engine have a price to pay but the benefit is I can do it again next turn. Yeah lithoform comes out to be the same mana cost, but it has more utility than just that; I can dupe other cards like predator's rapport or chasm skulker for example. Sure, I lose out on the bonus draw power, but only chasm skulker and horizon chimera benefit from it.

speaking of, my favorite combo with this deck is horizon chimera, chasm skulker, and fathom mage on the field, with something to pump fathom mage, I get draw power, life gain, and get to buff chasm skulker at the same time. as great as this combo is, trying to revolve the entire deck around it is just not as feasible as I initially thought.
