No one owes you anything. When you're sitting down to play commander, don't assume you're going to play commander. It's as simple as that. You don't have authority on what is acceptable to play in EDH. Your brother's free to play whatever he wants in EDH. Similarly, you're not obligated to play with him if doing so makes you feel miserable.

I took a look at the deck. It's pretty clear your brother has began exploring what's powerful in EDH and is on track to improve his decks, but that deck is still not very good, especially considering its budget. I took a look at your Aurelia deck. It's pretty terrible in comparison. You could look to improve that deck and murder your brother quickly. That's one way to deal with powerful or annoying decks. Usually it's not hard to get other people on board with killing someone running a powerful deck in a group. Playing 1v3 in commander is practically impossible.

Alternatively, talk to your bro after you think about what specifically about his deck is making the experience miserable for you. There should exist some kind of middle ground where your bro can still play his curses and you get to enjoy the game as well. Maybe that's not running armageddons or something?

One thing I really urge you to do is roll with the punches a bit. One of the best things about EDH is that players have so much room to explore the game and do whatever they want. Part of that involves very powerful strategies. You should try to build decks with answering degenerate stuff in mind. Maybe your Aurelia deck should run a Tempest of Light vs your brother?

Celestial Purge to fight Liliana, War Priest of Thune or Tempest of Light to fight bogles, and Gideon of the Trials to further stall out the game might also be worth considering. :)

I like the commander, love the vampire theme. I just don't understand how the deck is supposed to win in a multiplayer format. Ultimately this all comes down to your playgroup and how competitive the deck is, what the meta is, all that good stuff. Most vampire decks to date have done Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond / Defiant Bloodlord. Or stealing opponents stuff with Olivia Voldaren in the late game. Or even Vampire Hexmage + Dark Depths. In my experience, very rarely are you going to be able to overwhelm all of your opponents with vampires that have had time to grow and get fat. Heavy creature decks that also generate tokens are huge Wrath of God magnets.

You may want to consider some more removal if you plan on keeping the win condition brute force: Merciless Eviction, Austere Command, Tempest of Light, Utter End, Oblation, Red Elemental Blast, Grave Pact, whatever. Otherwise, you fall victim to a huge variety of defensive measures: Propaganda, Ghostly Prison, Sphere of Safety, Copy Enchantment, Moat, Crawlspace, Avacyn, Angel of Hope, No Mercy, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, etc.

Finally, it's hard for me to say what I would cut without knowing your meta, but I'll give it a go: Confusion in the Ranks, Harsh Mercy, Insolent Neonate, Olivia, Mobilized for War, Attrition, Urge to Feed. These cards are either too finite, or have circumstantial value. Other than that, I challenge you to look at your creature base, I know you want to get a lot of value out of Edgar Markov but the creatures themselves need to bring a lot to the table too.

I played against that GW Worship deck in a PPTQ recently. What's funny is that I loaned 2 RIP to my friend and forget to ask for it back, so I took 2 Tempest of Light from my bulk pile and added it to my sideboard. Saved my ass for that match. Was playing Bant Eldrazi so he burnt a few Heroic Intervention to wall my Thought-Knot Seer from the start.

Finally a deck that makes that playset of Tempest of Light I traded for as a kid remotely useful.

@Winterblast - Something to note about Overburden, however, is that it has been errataed to apply only to non-token creatures. Still, I've had times playing against Prossh players with Overburden and even though I announced the proper rules text on cast, they seemed to be playing under the impression that it applied to their tokens as well.

They never asked to read the card again or made any over remarks about the card so I didn't bother making corrections. Hey, we were playing for a Tundra (which I now own, Huzzah!).

Anyway, I've played in a shop meta with a Prossh player who was a giant ass monkey. He called my friend a potato and told me I wasn't human. These things occurred as I rule-sharked people. Again, playing shop-level leagues for true duals is a terrible idea, but hey...

Anyway, I've noticed most shop level players are utter trash. No, really. People think they're knowledgeable about the format but they just aren't. The average player's awareness of the format is just piss poor. In a 30 man league. I might have to contend with 2 or 3 players who I consider to be remotely good and those guys often aren't even playing the best decks they could bring to tables.

I actually ran Extract just to hit some key combo pieces in my meta as I found that outside of the main combos, the decks these turds were running were so bad that I could easily control the board and finish on the back of my own deck. I didn't need to tech too hard vs these guys. My other odd choices were things like mainboard Erase, Tempest of Light, etc. because of stuff I was running into.

My point is that if you actually run a solid deck and you're seriously good at edh, you should honestly wreck people at shops.

Oh, and Wurmlover, the Arbiter deck listed on my profile can easily be made on a $300 budget. It's what I've run for a very long time.

Looks like a fun build, just not sure how it'd hold up against Back to Nature or Paraselene or Tempest of Light, or such since the deck relies so heavily on enchantments. The other issue would be removal as black is notoriously weak at dealing with indestructible/hexproof creatures or opposing enchantments/artifacts, particularly if an opponent has a Tajuru Preserver or drops a Song of the Dryads/Imprisoned in the Moon/Darksteel Mutation on your commander. Elixir of Immortality is a decent way to get back your stuff back into the library after wrath effects or when you've used up most your instants/sorceries.

Cool idea, very unique! +1
