Wilderness Reclamation

Asked by Wyrbak 2 years ago

If I have two Wilderness Reclamation out, can I untap twice?

Yes, but unless you have an instant speed effect to put on the stack between the resolution of the 2 reclamation then it won’t matter.

Yes. At the beginning of your end step, both abilities will go on to the stack.

When the first one resolves, you'll untap all of your land. You can then put other instant effects or spells on the stack (and potentially tapping that land in the process) which will resolve first, and then the other Wilderness Reclamation will resolve, once again untapping your lands.

Similarly, if you have something like Omnath, Locus of Mana on the field, then this would help to generate a bunch of extra mana.

You can also just tap all your lands to float mana before the second untap. Any situation where you're playing Wilderness Reclamation to get as much mana as possible during your end step will only be improved by having two.

The reason this works is Wilderness Reclamation uses a triggered ability--one that says "when", "whenever", or "at". Whenever the criteria for the triggered ability is met, the ability will trigger. Nothing changes in having two of the same card; as long as an effect contains a triggered ability which has its needs met, it will trigger.
