New Magic player looking for any advice on Dimir deck focused on Mirko, Obsessive Theorist starting with the Revenant Recon precon from Karlov's with some tweaks.

This deck is loaded up with surveil to buff Mirko, counter removal to bypass finality counters, and some artifacts/enchantments that hopefully keep Mirko on the field while making him harder to deal with.

This deck obviously uses a lot of the original precon, but it has performed quite well so far! I am open to suggestions on keeping Mirko safe/dangerous along with any other spells that I may have overlooked! I am quite new to MTG, so my knowledge of cards that exist is quite limited, but Youtube and Card Kingdom as well as my local games shop and Magic friends have helped a lot.

List of cards that are not in the Revenant Recon precon and what they do (roughly) in order of importance:

• Counterspell (it seems like everyone else in my group has one)
• Disdainful Stroke (cheaper counter option to Counterpoint from the precon)
• Solemn Simulacrum (ramp + draws card + can be brought back by Mirko)

• Cruel Witness (potential passive surveil)
• Sinister Sabotage (counter + surveil)
• Deflection (redirection mostly to protect Mirko)
• Ferropede (can remove finality counters)
• Kraken's Eye (passive lifegain)

• Chupacabra Echo (good mid-late game -x/-x giver)
