LOOOOVE to play stax (not using that term lightly).

The End.

jaymc1130 Again, everything you say just points to a meta that's not as strong as you might spect. Saying Cursed Totem is a weak stax pieces just because it doesn't break parity by it self says it all. Totem is one of the strongest, if not the strongest, stax piece in CVT and one of the main reason why that list is so strong.

If shutting down dorks and Thrasios is not strong, I don't know what is.

Self parity breaking stax pieces is something rather new to the game and comes at a cost, for example: Null Rod is much better than Karn in most scenarios, Totem is much better than Linvala in most scenarios.

If it's working for you, I'm glad.

This is where I'm coming from in case anyone is wondering: Why are you playing draw-go control Urza if other decks can do a 10x better job at it? Same goes for storm. None are the strongest versions for this commander. To each it's own, just my 2 cents.

jaymc1130 If Cursed Totem is not a problem and you don't see some stax in your meta, I can see why your list would work. I don't see it working in fully powered metas if you try to 'control' 3 other players with just mono U and low on stax.

For a deck that's more focused on 'draw-go', Power Artifact doesn't make much sense, since it's only purpose is to go infinite (and probably the most ineffective piece to do so), so I'm getting mixed signals here.

'Tempo beat with tokens', seems like a great plan for 1v1. Najeela it's much better at it than probably any deck in the format, and that's because it has access to other colors.

Maybe you're in a meta that doesn't run a lot of Totems/Linvalas, but infinite mana is getting you nowhere if you can't activate Urza.

Just an FYI: an artifact cost reducer opens up a line to draw your deck with Future Sight and Top.

jaymc1130 Thanks for the suggestion. I do have the Engine + Top + Key combo in as well, but my version is not for speed. No way Urza can outrun the faster decks in the format, so I go for the long game. You don't need to draw the deck with Tyrant (that's just a backup way to do it, in case Totem/Linvala is in play and you need to find and answer), if you go infinite mana with Tyrant you can just cast Urza and go from there. Tyrant just allows me to play heavier stax pieces since it gets around almost all hate.
