Rhadamanthus Invisible Stalker ABSOLUTELY pertained to his question. honestly, that was truly the best answer anyone could have given him. it makes his combo not only better, but also less confusing. its a win/win.

Seriously though, if you aren't actually interested in discussing the details of the rules of the game then your efforts are going to be wasted on the Rules Q&A forum. If you want to help someone improve a deck, check out any of the site's various Deck Help forums, Lord knows they need it.

Yes, many of the questions posted here are very simple. That's as obvious to me as it is to you. But the moment the question is answered the asker will be instantly better at the game, even if only a little bit, and that's a plus in my book. It took me years to learn how to play properly in terms of game rules and card interactions, but I got there because people helped me when I had a question or corrected me when I got something wrong, not because they made me feel stupid for asking or for screwing up. Anyone who wants to learn how to play Magic should play Magic.

Rhadamanthus if someone needs to be told to read a card, they need to be told to read a card. you really cant even deny that a lot of the questions that get asked, could be answered by simply reading the card and having even the tiniest shred of common sense. are you really gonna tell me that not a single one of the "questions" that gets posted are a little bit asinine? are you really gonna tell me that you've never read a question posted there and thought to yourself "really? why does this need to be asked?" these kinds of people just shouldn't play magic.

The Rules Q&A forum is intended to be a more polite and constructive area of the site than other forums might be. Sarcasm and condescending comments should be avoided when answering a question there.

so what exactly determines the "cut off" point between tiers? is it the percentage value? or are there only allowed to be X amount of decks within a tier?

Oloro_Magic i dont know if you are aware, but Kilnmouth Dragon is not modern legal. also, See the Unwritten is better than Planar Bridge for putting creatures into play. 6 mana for 2 creatures is better than 14 mana for one.

June 27, 2017 9:15 p.m.

you're going to need a lot of creature removal, and cheaper mana ramp for this to be viable in modern. Birds of Paradise is strictly better than Utopia Tree, and i would really recommend Dragon Tempest. modern is a brutal format where players can cast Karn Liberated on turn 3, or Through the Breach into Emrakul, the Aeons Torn on turn 4.

Rhadamanthus you really don't know why I bring it up? hmm gee. maybe because its pointless to argue over a ruling that shouldn't even come up in play because there are strictly better options?

i really can't help but find all this arguing over the interaction between The Scarab God and Hada Spy Patrol hilarious considering the fact that Invisible Stalker is a far superior target. 4/4 with hexproof is strictly better than a 3/3 with shroud.

Hoke theres no room for Sliver Hive. it can't produce colored mana for any of the noncreature spells.

you'd be much better off using Invisible Stalker over Hada Spy Patrol.

next time, be sure to link the cards by placing double brackets before and after the full name of the card. the ability would not activate twice because Illusionist's Bracers is specific to activated abilities, and the ability of The Scarab God is a triggered ability.

June 24, 2017 8:34 p.m.

no, because hexproof protects from abilities as well, which is what Thornbite Staff is granting. the creature would be dealing damage via the ability gained from the Thornbite Staff, and a creature with hexproof cannot be targeted by abilities an opponent controls.

did he mention color? no? then yeah the tokens would have the same name because they are the same creature type.

reading the card explains the card. the vat clearly states that the creature must be put in the grave, and unearth very clearly states the creature is exiled.

you think Shivan Phoenix is bad? you're opponent was essentially just getting a stoppable Lightning Bolt each turn. there are much worse creatures they could have been throwing at you.

June 22, 2017 8:06 p.m.

totem armor is not redirecting anything, and the aura must be destroyed in order to save the creature. if you bounce the Conviction, there is no aura with totem armor left to destroy in the creatures place. you can't bounce and destroy something at the same time.

bah-bammmm what exactly is "sub optimal" here? do you even have a basis for your claim or do you just like to spew unfounded insults when you don't know what you're talking about?

its already really simple and convenient, so why mess with it? why try to fix whats not broken?

June 20, 2017 12:48 a.m.

so what exactly do the percentages represent? how many tournament players are using the deck? what about the stars?

June 20, 2017 midnight

im a little confused why UBx Shadow and GBx Shadow are 2 different decks, because from what i've seen, that 3rd color is almost always red. so wouldn't it be more accurate to group those 2 together as just BRx Shadow?
