I did, but I opted out of it. The Spineback has a great passive, but ultimately, it is too subject to removal for 7 mana. Also, its body is only a 5/5 rendering it mediocre on the field. Finally, the ability to create a 3/3 for 6 mana is too much without some form of massive ramp to make the ability useful in a competitive scenario.

Great deck, I think I'm going to try it out.

Side question, how do you require the upvote to add to folder?

I used to run Opt. The issue I ran into was that late game, Opt didn't give as much value as Hieroglyphic Illumination.

That's why I run a combination of Glimmer and Hiero for card advantage.

dthoreson813 Again, really good feedback. Thank you! I'm not running the Sunpetal because it doesn't give me the same value as other duel lands. Also, with no plains in this deck; I may slow down a turn with it coming into play tapped.

I might add Attune with Aether but not over Commune with Dinosaurs. Commune is too valuable in fishing for curve fixers whereas I'll only need to fix my mana if I side-in Huatli or Tocatli (still working her in).

Aether Hub may be the best answer to both mana situations.

dthoreson813 Great suggestion! Thank you for that! I'll have to play around with the sideboard and mana base to make sure I can drop her in an opening hand. Relying on Drover of the Mighty for a white mana on turn 5 isn't too detrimental or difficult for getting out Huatli. However, getting white mana on turn 2 will require land support.
