Proxy mox and dual lands (
Limited forum

Hi guys,
Me and my friends built a proxy powered cube and we are having a great time playing with it. The only problem is that we printed every card in the oldest version posible (because the ilustrations are more beatiful).
That gave us problems with cards like Eureka, ando also because some of our players are very amateur. That is why we changed every card to the oracle text version. The only ones we are missing are Time Twister, the dual lands and the moxes. I wanted to know if you guys have the mox and duals proxys with oracle text, if possible with the original art.
Thanks (sorry for my English, not a native speaker)

How did you go about getting the art and which program did you use? currently i have about a 100 cards or so i'll need long term proxies for and plan to print directly onto a card after having first removed the art/ink with acetone. However i don't know where to source the art of what program i'll need into order to edit before print, also concerned i won't find art for all the cards i'll need to proxy.

I just use magic set editor with a special "proxy" gif for the set icon. I often use humorous or meaningful images in place of the regular card arts. Then I export the card images (after typing up the card text by hand and leaving out keyword explanation text and flavor quotes). To get the results to fit in a sleeve right, I re-size the images. Then I print them in b/w instead of color on low quality on regular paper, sliding them over a basic land in the sleeve.
But this might not help you. My goals seem different:
Clarity that this is a proxy
Clarity of card function and readability
Humor, sentimentalism, and/or inside joking

short term proxies i'll be printing to paper then using Warhammer glue to apply them to a throwaway common, but these are cards i'll pick up within six-eight months so it's only to get it playable. Long term proxies i'd like to print to a card as it'll take me a long time to pick them up.

Phoenix-2063: Print directly on the card? Have you done this before? How do you do it? My playgroup uses proxies in our cube but they are glued on and therefore thicker and easy to feel when shuffling. Would be cool to print directly on the card instead :)

Do you need text for the Duals and Moxen? I would just print them out as full arts myself.

The one thing I was wondering is if someone has done the moxes and duals in their original frame and art but with oracle text.

TehCoopeh my playgroup need the oracle text version of the cards since there are a lot of really casual players. I love the old ilustrations, that is why I'm trying to find is someone has done proxys of the duals and moxes with the original art and frame, but with the updated text and rules.

Haven't done it myself yet, there's a tutorial here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMxAEKTYCAM
That's not what you'd need, the art needs to be in proportion to the card otherwise it'll be stretched & pixilated of shrunk either way won't look good. I don't know how or where to get the artwork people use to make proxies like these or what program is used during editing before print. Although it does look like photoshop in the tutorial i posted.

If its just for proxies then maybe this will be sufficient:
If not, then there is a site i guess we are not allowed to mention here. Its bay full of pirates ;). There you can find high resolution scans of most cards printed. I think you can find the new MTGO versions there as well.
