Three-Color Commanders and Leaders —Oct. 3, 2019

Continuing my search for my colors, I thought I should look at every Non-white three-color Commander. This would mean that rather than going from four colors to three colors for my Tiny Leaders deck, I’d be going from three colors to two. This might be advantageous because, in a CMDR/EDH deck, if the colors are divided evenly, a 4-color deck probably has around 15 cards per color, plus lands; if the golden cards are distributed evenly, then maybe 40 spells will fit within a two-color identity. In a 3-color deck, if the colors are divided evenly, then there should be more like 20 cards per color, plus lands; if the golden cards are distributed evenly, there should be something like 50 spells that fit within a 2-color color identity. That bodes well for my plan. If I keep 30 of those 50 spells under 3-cost, I’ll have all the spells I need for my TL deck. For this, I’m going to organize my thoughts into separate posts for each of the non-white shards/wedges. I’m going to list all of the options for commanders in each post, and then share my thoughts on some of the standout cards, and anything that caught my eye. I’ll also make a note for any commanders that could be a leader if I choose to go with four colors for my EDH deck.
