FNM 4 Round Event 4-0 —Oct. 28, 2017
Took it out to FNM and went 4-0.
Match 1 Mill/Dredge 2-1 Game 1 Went pretty much as planned. Turn 1 Crab into Turn 2 Orb put him on constant threat. I milled faster. Game 2 He sideboards from Mill into a selfmill/Dredge deck. I am soon Bloodghasts start to pressure but a double Fraying Sanity Glimpse decks me for 40. Game 3 Crypt Incursion did work and put me out of range netting me the win.
Match 2 Burn 2-1 Game 1 He did what Burn does. It was quicker then me Game 2 Spellskite Saves me so much damage and lets me pretty much run freely over him Game 3 Crypt Incursion nets me 21 life, putting me WAY out of his range.
Match 3 Jeskai Delver 2-1 Game 1 He let's a turn 2 Orb resolve and doesn't realize exactly how much it just mills while they cast draw spells. Game 2 He gets 3 Delvers and I don't draw any sort of removal or wipes. Geist of Saint Traft finishes me off. Game 3 He gets pretty unlucky not getting his double Delvers to flip for 3 turns. Again Crypt Incursion nets me 18 life giving me time to bury him.
Match 4 Titan Shift 2-0 Game 1 Fields of Ruin keep Valakut offline and I Extract his Titans. Feeling no pressure I just mill away Game 2 Single land Triple Archive Trap hand makes him quit after seeing what 39 cards in one go looks like.
Afterthought I love it so much. Crypt Incursion is easily MVP, it just puts you so far out of range, you almost never feel pressured.
