LEGENDARY as fuck - all the dragons - M15

Modern* Dragons Five Color Midrange Mono-Green Ramp Theme/Gimmick

Surrak needs more swords!! Hero's Blade + Surrak, the Hunt Caller is an 8/6 with haste out of nowhere. Next turn play any dragon, and for nothing give it haste and equip Hero's Blade . Eight-power flyers with haste are the norm with this deck, the mainboard beats even the biggest creatures.

This deck has literally every legendary dragon in standard. All five Dragonlords; - Dragonlord Atarka -Dragonlord Dromoka - Dragonlord Kolaghan - Dragonlord Ojutai - Dragonlord Silumgar and all five younger versions from Fate Reforged; - Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury - Ojutai, Soul of Winter - Silumgar, the Drifting Death - Atarka, World Render - Dromoka, the Eternal

With so many one-of cards this deck has a lot of character and a lot of text, but it is surprisingly reliable. Everything combos with everything and it all works towards the same strategy.

The mana base is actually really good! it plays like a green ramp deck. There's four each of Sylvan Caryatid , Shaman of Forgotten Ways and Haven of the Spirit Dragon . That's twelve sources of any colour. Plus the six tri-lands and a single Mana Confluence - Frontier Bivouac + Sandsteppe Citadel . It adds up to twenty green producing lands and nineteen sources that produce any colour because every non-green card is either an artifact or a dragon.

The only non-ramp/non-dragon creatures are four each of Polukranos, World Eater and Surrak, the Hunt Caller. Expect to play one of these turn 3-4 every game. The legendary rule is rarely a downside and both are game winning threats.

All eight creature removal spells come with the upside of being giant creatures themselves - Polukranos, World Eater - Dragonlord Atarka - Dragonlord Silumgar, Ojutai, Soul of Winter - Silumgar, the Drifting Death

So which dragons your favorite? There's only room to double-up on a couple. I choose Dromoka, the Eternal , because it's the easiest dragon to cast with only one off-colour symbol and its Bolster 2 ability applies to every attacking dragon for huge distributed value. The ramp creatures will often become huge battlefield threats themselves. Bolster 2 on Sylvan Caryatid for a 2/5 hexproof blocker or on Shaman of Forgotten Ways for a Siege Rhino body. After that your bolstering dragons.

Part of the appeal/design of this deck is that there's only one of each of the more expensive cards, so when they rotate out of Standard they will find a home in an EDH deck.

The Mainboard basically disregards whatever the opponent is trying to do so it can focus instead on what this deck does best, being the biggest.

The SideBoard:

Whenever you want a particular dragon add both Sarkhan's Triumph . Fetch Silumgar, the Drifting Death against tokens for example.

Against Control: Add all three Evolutionary Leap There's no huge value combo for this card here, except that every non-ramp creature is a huge game winning threat. Use this card defensively during unfavorable combat or in response to any removal spell or ability, play smart and you'll never run out of creature cards in hand or in play - Add Sarkhan's Triumph to tutor up something big with hexproof or haste and add Fearsome Awakening to get back the biggest dragon only bigger and for less mana. Against more aggressive control (Abzan) you'll need to be faster, drop the slower cards and add the four Scaleguard Sentinels .

Against Aggro: Make the deck way faster with four Elvish Mystic and two Forest inplace of one of each tap-land and the four Hero's Blade 's. Add four Scaleguard Sentinels in place of the four most conditional late game cards. Elvish Mystic + Shaman of Forgotten Ways let's you play any 6-drop dragon turn three! Elvish Mystic + Polukranos, World Eater + Scaleguard Sentinels gives the biggest early creatures then you go over them with dragons . Depending on your meta this might be better as the main deck.

So what do you think? My decks the best, right!? - I'm not willing to stray from the one of every dragon theme, but I'm open to suggestions for the rest of the spots. Keep in mind, it's tough, but not impossible to cast non-green, non-creature spells.

+1 for five-colour dragons!

I'm working on a post-rotation deck, check it out - deck-large:legendary-as-fuck-all-the-dragons-copy-2
