Ashling retired today 02/23/2014, maybe permanently. The true problem with this deck is that it is a group slug deck. The first few time I play it, it always does very well, because it explodes damage out of no where, but once it has surprised you once or twice it gets more attention than it can handle. Any deck that dishes out as much damage as this one and has no answers of control gets shut down pretty early (even in the most casual of settings).
I feel that in order to be a more successful deck I would need to add more creatures and stray to far away from burn, which was the intent of this deck. So I decided I will retire this deck (maybe just temporarily) while I focus on other decks.
I flagged 12 cards foil (not counting Ashling) that I may swap with my sideboard, if I decided to pull Ashling back from retirement and experiment further.
