3-1 —Dec. 15, 2017

Went 3-1 last Friday. Came in 2nd overall. I was really happy with the results. Only loss was to Ramunap Red being played by someone who had been on the pro tour. No shame in that loss at all.

Round 1 vs G/U Pummeler. I won 2-0. Easy win.

Round 2 vs G/B Control. Game 1 I win with a Chandra emblem. Game 2 was much closer. He kept board wiping. I finally got enough creatures out and I counter a Yahenni's Expertise. I win 2-0.

Round 3 vs Ramunap Red. He gets stuck on 2 lands game 1 and I win easily. Game 2 he gets the perfect hand and swarms me. Game 3 it's my turn to be stuck on 2 lands. I lose 2-1.

Round 4 vs Temur Energy. Game 1 I get a great opening hand and kill him with a Whirler Virtuoso and 2 Glorybringers. Game 2 was a bit more competitive. We get to a board stall and he drops a Torrential Gearhulk late to get back a harnessed lightning. I have a Scarab God on board and a harnessed lightning in hand. I kill his gearhulk, reanimate it and get back Vraska's Contempt from my yard to kill one of his blockers and this also gets me back to 5 life. I send in all but 2 of my creatures and he looses most of his blocking. I pass turn and he draws an artifact. I win 2-0 in a nail biter.
