Tried to balance themes of life and death. I could have done the whole "X =" thing but that's just paying into a mana dump. That doesn't represent life and death.

The more you are willing to kill, the more you are rewarded.

And if you kill 8 creatures and now have an army of 2/2s that can blow up the board and gain you a bunch of life when they die... Well, nobody will want to attack into you, and will be hesitant to block you

We tend to have a rather diverse and vibrant community on Tappedout and, in my personal experience, this site seems to be one of the friendlier ones - if not the most welcoming.

Given how nice everyone is here, how many excellent deck builders we have and how diverse we all are not just as individual people but even play styles, I'm legitimately curious.

I was looking at making a budget friendly deck for him as a custom commander. Lots of utility there with close to 400 card selections between both halves of Adventure, all of the Sagas and all of the Dungeons

Far too often now do we see a Planeswalker who's ultimate is more akin to a strong sorcery, when their ultimate should be a game-winning investment.

Make a Planeswalker who's ultimate essentially makes you win the game, without it just saying "You win the game".

+1/+0 and +0/+1 counters aren't used anymore but they use to exist. I believe there also use to be a +2/+1 counter.

Make another card that uses one or more of these ancient counters.

-3 Create a white enchantment - aura token with "Enchant creature." and "When this creature dies, return it to your hand."

He would be like a $0.99 cent commander because people very seldomly run planeswalkers at all. And if you're in the market to run Grixisfrens, there's better commanders to helm your deck.
