As stated a massive set income from one of if not my favorite video game franchise. I've been working on this set for months and it's nearly ready. I'll leave three cards here to give you a taste of what's to come and so those who don't where it's from can look forward to an awesome (if probably overpowered) set. And for those that do know this franchise hope i do this game series justice and pls give your comments to me. I tried my best to meld this wacky wild world with the MTG in best way i could.

Samples:

The Flagship monster Item Description

Probably the most ionic weapon Item Description

The most iconic and first final boss Item Description

Without trying to come across as condescending, why create an entire custom set? I like monster Hunter and some of these designs are neat, but is it just for fun? Or do you print out proxies and play with your friends?

Daveslab2022 sometimes, creating a custom set can be interesting, as it combines many, many card designs into a framework of archetypes and rarities that really can't be found anywhere else.

Speaking as a custom set designer, it lends a certain organization to a massive assortment of custom cards and can be paired with worldbuilding and writing to create a cohesive world for your own designs.

I don’t really understand what you’re saying here. What archetypes are you specifically looking to create? None of the above custom cards are really outside the realm of possibility for a real card, none of them function outside of the design space that WOTC allows.

Daveslab2022 technically speaking, yes, but it is the unique combination of them that makes custom sets worth creating, plus the application of a story, unique mechanics, etc.

Technically they could be printed in a WOTC product, but that's the entire point of a custom card anyway; if your card is so beyond normal MTG design space that it can't be printed, it's not a good design (for the most part).
