I’ve been out of the game for a while. I used to be super active on here and played regularly but then life happened. I just got invited to draft a cube and they generally also like EDH. I used to play a B/U control deck that I’ve since taken apart. I’m not ready to jump fully in but wouldn’t mind getting a preconstructed deck that I can adjust. I have always like control and clever combos. Any recommendations?
Sounds like you'd really like the Wilds of Eldraine UB Fae Dominion precon with Alela as your commander, and since it just came out it shouldn't be crazy expensive side like older precons.

Not sure what your budget is, but if you don't mind shifting away from blue, the new Enduring Enchantments deck really synergizes well with itself, and has plenty of room for upgrades, as well as an alt commander in Narci, Fable Singer if you're more interested in sitting back and draining opponents vs swinging out with Anikthea, Hand of Erebos.

Precon decks usually don't go too hard into clever combos; you get good synergy in some of them, but it's pretty surface level. Would you want to stick to , or is there another color combination you want to use?
