Just as black mages discovered that life itself is a resource to be exploited, white-black mages saw the potential of creatures for the same purpose. Why even summon a mortal being if you can't kill them for even greater benefit?

My Teysa deck is finally out of prototyping! I've been wanting to build some aristocrats for a while now, so it being done for the most part is quite exciting to me. I made an Athreos list in tandem with this one, but that deck has a more specific theme. You can find it here if you so wish.

This deck is all about abusing the Teysa Karlov's ability to get incredible value out of creatures dying. Whether those creatures were killed by your own hand or your opponents', there's profit to be made beyond what was possible before now. Cards like Elenda, the Dusk Rose were already pretty nice, but now she gains counters twice and fast, and makes four times as many tokens as before! This is also true of Hallowed Spiritkeeper, Pitiless Plunderer, et cetera. This woman is simply magnificent in her role!
