This started as an upgrade of the Doctor Who Timey Wimey precon, but I feel like it has turned into its own suspend/time-travelling deck, which I love!

This deck now takes advantage of the Time-Travelling mechanic, and particularly of The Tenth Doctor's ability to do that three times. This is how the deck works:

  • The deck is filled with suspend or vanishing cards. This would normally mean that, while cheaper in mana cost, they have either limited time on the battlefield or they enter it much later. However, with cards such as All of History, All at Once and Wibbly-wobbly, Timey-wimey, and even more so with the Timey-Wimey ability of The Tenth Doctor, you can manipulate the time counters on your creatures, adding or removing them.

  • Thus, you get to cast very powerful creatures, such as Deep-Sea Kraken, Etali, Primal Storm, Ovika, Enigma Goliath, Plargg and Nassari, and Velomachus Lorehold very quickly and for much cheaper costs by suspending them with The Tenth Doctor's Allons-y ability or with Jhoira of the Ghitu and time-travelling. Plus, while these cards may seem a bit random, most of them actually still fit the time-travelling theme of the deck, as they allow me to cast cards from the top of my deck (so, in a way, from my future draws!) or from those of my opponents, adding some interaction with the rest of the table. This is in line with what Wilfred Mott or the TARDIS also do, so it makes a nice related sub-theme. The only one that is not quite fitting with this is Ovika, Enigma Goliath, which, however, is just a very good card because it allows me to go wide and make a lot of tokens thanks to the fact that the deck contains mostly non-creature spells. Similarly, other creatures like Benalish Commander, Aeon Chronicler, or Dinosaurs on a Spaceship benefit from remaining suspended and having time counters removed from them, as they give tokens or card draw. Moreover, all these time counters buff my other commander Rose Tyler, giving me the option to win by commander damage.

  • Finally, I included an option to go infinite and win the game with Arc Blade + Rousing Refrain + The Tenth Doctor or even Ovika, Enigma Goliath + Rousing Refrain + The Tenth Doctor . However, because I mostly play casual and I personally do not like infinite combos, this is not my main wincon and in most cases I would try to win the game through good honest combat or commander damage. Nonetheless, these are nice options to have, especially if the game gets stuck.

I hope you enjoy the theme of the deck as much as I do and please, let me know what you think of it and if you have any suggestions, thanks!
