The Fungal Wizard's Handbook for Surviving in Medieval Ixalan

Hello! This is a budget Mycotyrant deck I made as a gift for a friend. It's built around using the powerful abilities of The Mycotyrant to build a huge board of small creatures, then win with sacrifice value, tokens, big Devour effects, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and, of course, the Fungus that may or may not be Among Us.

Value

This deck is a valuepile, through and through. What, you thought that only worked for $1,000+ simic decks? Think again! First off, we have ways to generate fungus tokens with The Mycotyrant. To do this, we have cards like Cemetery Tampering, Fleshbag Marauder, and Grimoire of the Dead. Then, we can use our graveyard with cards such as Modern boogeyman Hogaak, token generator/sac outlet Izoni, and Lich-Knights' Conquest for some pretty funny mass reanimation. Since we're spitting out so many fungi, we might buff them with a Sporecrown Thallid or, more likely, exploit our unpaid fungal workers by sacrificing them to something like a Vampiric Rites.

Wincons

Despite the budget, this deck can run quite a few wincons. The first is attacking in with The Mycotyrant, who can get quite big quite fast and has Trample for some evasion. The army of fungi it makes can also be pretty dang good attackers. Butcher of Malakir can clear the board really fast with some sacrifice, but my favorite way to win has to be Undercity Informer. You can use it for selfmill until you reach a critical mass of tokens, at which point you can point its powerful ability at your opponents.

Notes

I built this deck with a $30 budget and I'd like it to stay that way. As such, cards like Mycoloth, which would be auto-includes otherwise, were just too expensive. Please keep this in mind before making suggestions. That said, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this deck.
