My current version of a Meren of Clan Nel Toth deck (including many alternate cards from ranging from merely good to ones that I should probably find a way to include - see sideboard/maybe list). Predictably, it's based around sacrificing creatures for advantages and then resurrecting them from the graveyard to rinse/repeat. Effects to abuse include forcing creature sacrifice/targeted removal (Demon's Disciple, Shriekmaw, etc.), stealing opponents' creatures (Tergrid, God of Fright  , It That Betrays) destroying artifacts/enchantments (Haywire Mite, Reclamation Sage, etc.), direct damage/lifegain (Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Palantir of Orthanc etc.), card tutoring (Sidisi, Undead Vizier, Fiend Artisan, Birthing Pod etc.), and mana ramp effects (Ashnod's Altar, Pitiless Plunderer, Black Market Connections). Using Strionic Resonator to duplicate Meren's return to battlefield trigger seems like a huge boon on paper but has been a little awkward to reliably accommodate, so mileage may vary...

There's some not-best-in-slot cards in here that I am personally fond of like Vashta Nerada (to make a huge unblockable), Winding Constrictor (mostly for accelerating experience counter generation, but also interacts with cards like Vashta and Palantir of Orthanc), Liliana, Heretical Healer   (I just have a fondness for this card), and Ghoulcaller Gisa (I tend to include a way to go wide in every deck I make). So if you like this deck outline, those are a good place to start replacing cards, though that's just my own biased assessment of my own creation, so take that with a grain of salt. Also, the land base here is just a reflection of what I happen to have on hand right now, and there's plenty of room for improvements there.
