• outpace your opponent and secure tempo advantage
• avoid relying on things that are commonly boarded against(ie artifacts, graveyard, ETB, etc); expect to win games 2 and 3
• avoid devolving into hate bears or control
• although you're almost never top decking with this list, spells that are dead draws in the late game are almost always cut from my lists

Spells Testing Well

• Esper Sentinel into coatl has awkward lands, artifact is meh
• Noble Hierarch exalted is surprisingly effective, ramp is a fair tempo move, cheap proactive play, color fixing
• Brokers Charm versatile. fun to cast in response to something you'd Quell by destroying Leyline Binding or similar

Unlikely Spells

• Collected Company kind of means hate bears or spirits, maybe not though.
• Mana Leak too weak late
• Reflector Mage creature only, non-evasive
• Solitude creature only, non-evasive, 5 cmc
• Cryptic Command is kind of insane here except 3 blue and it's a bit control-y

• The Wandering Emperor tested pretty well as a 1 of in some version of this list
• Hindering Light was tested in an esper version of a similar (Tidehollow Sculler, removal, etc. too control-y) list and worked great there, probably would here..

testing notes:

• Stoneforge Mystic and equipment work fine but are really just filler. But I dislike how obvious and one dimensional they are. probably replacing.
• Tale's End is probably not a mainboard card but for some reason it's almost always in my games 2 and 3, so idk.
• Fury and Grief ETB hurt.
• Leyline Binding and Prismatic Ending hurt.
