Not your mother's token deck.
The streets on Compton are ravaged by pimps and thugs. You can't throw a rock in downtown without hitting someone that has done hard time. It must be hard being so lawless. It must be difficult living the thug life. This is my tribute to Compton.
This deck is all about black on white crime. A.K.A. sacrificing white creatures to black creatures. i have been playing a version of this deck since Innistrad standard. It is a budget build that I have personally proven to be successful. I love playing this deck and I love sharing this deck. I have never met someone who played this deck and didn't get the same enjoyment out of it that I do. I have built this deck 16 times because I will take it to an FNM or event like that and wreck face with it. That gains admirers of the deck and I sell or trade the whole deck to them for stuff I'm looking for.
It isn't hard to build and while playing it, it protects itself. Surprisingly resilient I've beaten just about every archetype I faced at least once.
One of my favorite matches ever was against G/R Tron. My opponent Casts Emrakul, the Aeons Torn and expects me to scoop. This is what i had 6 Lingering Souls spirits, 4 Cat tokens, Skirsdag High Priest and 2 Blood Artist. In my hand I had 2
Midnight Haunting
a 3rd Blood Artist and a Killing Wave. He swings with Emrakul and I sac all six spirits. He looks at me funny. I say you Lose 12 I gain 12. Blood Artist trigger caught him off guard. Then I tap Skirsdag High Priest and both Blood Artist make a Flying demon and block. You lose 2 I gain 2. He picked up his deck and walked away. That was Game 1 of Round 1 at a competitive FNM. My 1st week in town. I went on to win the tournament. I beat 2 Melira Pod decks, Valukut, and Merfolk that night.
So this is the worst-named and most-consistent deck I have played with in a long time. Also, for a long time.
Any suggestions on how to make this better without going over budget and maintaining the theme are welcome. Let's get some upvotes.
