Sideboard

Spike, Timmy, Vorthos, and Johnnnies. Long ago, the four player types were pleased by Wizards in harmony. Then everything changed when the combo season came. Only the Johnny/Jenny, master of the combo, could stop them. But when players need her most, Emrakul was banned. 3 days passed, and I, player:SamBurke, discovered the new combo, a deck called AJohnny's Avatar. Although the challenge is great, I believe we can win the tournaments.

Deck

The deck is based around boosting your creatures with +1/+1 counters, and making them just as large as anything your opponent plays super fast. There is a slight emphasis on budget, but given how early in the Aether Revolt release it is, there's no way to tell how expensive things will be.

Cards

Greenbelt Rampager is for triggering revolt mostly, as well as playing an above-curve creature later in the game. Of note, if you side in Heart of Kiran you can play Greenbelt, have it crew Heart while Greenbelt's additional cost is on the stack, then have Greenbelt bounce back to your hand. Also of note, you can play this card multiple times per turn to trigger Lifecrafter's Bestiary more for #value.

Panharmonicon is straight value. Gearhulk, Rampager, Bandar, Rishkar, and Bestiary all are made better.

Conviction is sideboardable, but the goal is to have an easy, repeatable Revolt trigger. Helps with blocking as well.

Rishkar, Peema Renegade is pure ramp. Every creature should have counters at some point, so you'll be able to generate tons of mana if you need to.

Scrounging Bandar/Winding Constrictor is a super cute fun combo: when you move something with Bandar and Constrictor is out, it increases-so you can have two Bandars growing each other every turn. The Johnny-friendly combo here.

Collective Effort a go-wide supporting spell that has the nice upside of removing pesky enchantments and creatures. Doesn't effect artifacts, so you'll want to look at the sideboard for that.

Lifecrafter's Bestiary our big card draw, very nice. Also scries regularly to allow us to filter the deck when needed.

Everything else works as expected: get value, trigger revolt when needed, grow your creatures!
