if this deck is for casual then i'd say its pretty alright for a fun break from the norm. Only 10 cards short of a commander deck too if you want to go that route. But if you're looking for more competitiveness, I'd say to do the following:

The first thing we need to do before anything, is to figure out the strategy we're going for. Obviously a token based liliana deck is way out of reasonable budgets. The blue you added does give me an idea for a control based zombie deck.

So the first thing to do is remove the cards above 60 that we wouldn't need, along with cards that will don't either assist or protect our strategies. I would start by removing the following: 2 - Advanced Stitchwing. 2 - Certain Death. 1 - Collective Brutality. 1 - Corrupt. 1 - Corrupted Roots. 2 - Disentomb. 1 - Doom Blade. 1 - Essence Harvest. 1 - Gnawing Zombie. 1 - Grixis Slavedriver. 1 - Grixis Grimblade. 1 - Hunted Ghoul. 1 - Haunted Dead. 3 - Ingenious Skaab. 4 - Laboratory Brute. 1 - Lamplighter of Selhoff. 1 - Maalfeld Twins. 2 - Macabre Waltz. 2 - Midnight Recovery. 1 - Mistvein Borderpost. 1 - Moan of the Unhallowed. 2 - Paranoid Delusions. 1 - Polluted Dead. 2 - Psychic Strike. 1 - Recover. 1 - Rise from the Grave. 1 - Scrapskin Drake. 1 - Shambling Attendants. 1 - Sibsig Host. 1 - Sibsig Muckdraggers. 1 - Sidisi's Pet. 1 - Sip of Hemlock. 1 - Skinrender. 1 - Spineless Thug. 1 - Stitched Mangler. 2 - Thraben Foulbloods. 1 - Strange Augmentation. 1 - Undead Executioner. 1 - Zombie Outlander. 15 - Swamp. 10 - Island.

It IS Quite a lot, but it's because we need to make room for the cards that'll make the bulk of our strategy, not to mention there are cheaper, better alternatives to most of these cards (lands were removed because the mana base will be changed later). With these cards taken out, that leaves us with the following: 3 - Cemetery Recruitment. 1 - Ghastly Conscription. 1 - Sign in Blood. 1 - Graf Harvest. 1 - Rooftop Storm. 2 - Gavony Unhallowed. 1 - Jhessian Zombies. 1 - Vedalken Ghoul.

these are pretty linearly focused for an effective strategy. to fluff out the rest of the cards for the deck, I'd recommend:

+1 - Cemetery Recruitment. +3 - Sign in Blood. +4 - Mana Leak. +3 - Duress. +3 - Vedalken Ghoul. +3 - Jhessian Zombies. +1 - Rooftop Storm. +4 - Go for the Throat. +4 - Rotting Rats. +3 - Claim / Fame.

For your land base, I'd highly recommend Bojuka Bog. Recursion is king in edh, and I'd also consider running a back-up option in Nihil Spellbomb. You will probably never play a game of edh where someone isn't going to use their graveyard.

Since your average cmc is pushing 4, I'd add more ramp. Fellwar Stone/Orzhov Signet should help.

As it was suggested, lowering the cost of your removal is a change I strongly support. 6 mana to destroy a creature and cost its owner 2 life is not a good card in EDH. Sip of Hemlock could easily be Noxious Gearhulk, which is still on theme but gives you a big beater for the exact same mana cost. They don't lose two life, but you can attack for 5 each turn instead. I think you're probably being a little to slavish to your theme. Happens to me all the time. But if you replace the so-so spells that are on theme with better overall spells, and keep the thematic spells that are the most effective the deck will play better while still working in that theme.

hey man, welcome to the greatest game, ever :) I sincerely hope this will bring you endless joy.

First off, I wanna back up everything Freezingfist said - those are all some excellent pointers :)

I have a few points of my own: Cards like Welding Sparks are reat, if you're runnin many artifacts, but you're not :) I'd suggest switchin it out with a more regular burnspell like Lightning Strike which can target either players or creatures. Whilst on the subject of artifacts: Ovalchase Daredevil probably won't pull it's weight as much as you'd like.

Two-Headed Cerberus is great because of double strike, but there's a number of reasons I'd save it for another deck: When you're running more than two colours - it's really hard to cast spells with more than one of the same kind of mana symbol in their cost. Also His doublestrike only really shines in a deck where your can consistently boost his power with things like Titan's Strength or Touch of Moonglove, and right now, you don't have a lot of powerboosts :)

Monastery Swiftspear is an amazing card! don't ever part with it :) but - it has prowess, and your deck is currently very creature heavy, so I just don't think you'll get enough out of her in this deck.

I notice a few creatures that mention energy counters. They're cool, but in my experience it's not really worth it to use them, unless you're building the deck around energy counters, and thus have more cards that give or use them. so you could probably find things that fill their spots more efficiently ;)

When gauging the overall value and potential of a creature, I ususally go with the "bear"-rule. "bear" references an old green card that simply was a green 2/2 for 2 mana. It supplies a ration of Power/Toughness to Casting cost of 1:1. This is considered an efficient baseline, and if something breaks this mold in a negative way, it's usually a poor choise to include. Like a 2/1 for 2 mana, or a 3/3 for 4. Abilities like flying, or first strike, and so on mitigate the loss in value - at least in my oppinion, and some abilities are worth more - if they are very powerful :) I bring this up, and I hope it doesn't come off as patronizing, because some of your creatures "underperform" a little :) Like Skyswirl Harrier: 3/4 for 5 mana, ain't good. even with flying added - in my oppinion, that makes it a 4/5 for 5 mana. It's not terrible, don't get me wrong, but you could get something better :)

Sip of Hemlock is rediculously expensive. If you can get your hands on a Murder or even Doomblade i think you'd be better off :)

I really hope this wall of text isn't too much, and that you can find something useful in there :)

Again, I just wanna welcome you to a great game, and a great community :) Stay frosty!
