Whenever you sacrifice a clue, food or treasure token create a 1/1 black Bird creature token with flying.

Crows are highly intelligent, love to gather random things and bring them back to their owners / people they trust, and can become quite aggressive. So this card showcases all of that, without being overly complex.

Yes, he's a real card printed by WOTC. He exists only for WOTC employees and yes, he is a legal Commander for their decks along with several others.

I once had a passion project to combine Sol, Advocate Eternal with Champions of Archery and make a "Commander Tribal" deck.

So for your challenge, make a Commander who would fit into a WUBRG Commander Tribal deck!

Would be a nice card to slot into a Simic Wide deck. You could make X super big and have a ton of like 1/7 or 1/12 creatures in play. Basically just chump blockers but hey, those stats aren't easy to shake.

So do that. Make a flying spider. You could cheese it with a 2GG spider that has like Flying, Deathtouch instead of Deathtouch, Reach. Sure.

But have fun with it. Make it annoying or scary. Make it legendary or whatever. Just have fun with it.

I tried to issue this one as a challenge last night, but I passed out and never got a chance to press send. Page timed out and it got lost.

Challenge: My back hurts quite bad. So make a sorcery that showcases sever back pain.

Bonus points for not just being like 3 damage or discarding a card. You know, try to capture the essence of a hurt spine.

Ranger is a severely underused creature type / class. So make a legendary Ranger who is at least 3 colors.

Sounds to me like Kellan is all about exploring and splendor. Faerie are notorious for their mischievous ways, and he almost sounds like a thief. So it's a matter of harassing the idea of exploration and being a cunning swindler, into Gruul. Without, of course, becoming another Domri clone (just taking control of animals).

Horribly pushed but he's supposed to be a threat. I could have gone with vigilance and / or haste, but that requires a higher MV.

This way, he gets out fast and starts stealing quickly.

Many animals have Human-like intelligence. Most notably are dolphins, a verity of whales, elephants, octopus, and even dogs and cats. Most household cats aren't very intelligent at all but some do possess quite a developed mind. My cat, Sweetpea, for example not only recognizes her own name but the names of others. If I ask her "Where's Butters!?" she will run off to find her stuffed catnip toy giraffe we have affectionately names Butters.

She also knows how to use doorknobs. She was keen enough to witness how turning a knob opens a door, and learned how to clasp onto it and pull down to turn it.

She knows some doors she can stick her paw under and shake to pop the older latch open with.

Just because an animal hasn't become gifted in sciences and engineering marvels doesn't mean they aren't intelligent.

Just look at crows. Crows are considering one of the most intelligent animals on the planet.

If an animal can reason that doing a specific action yields not only a specific outcome but a DESIRED outcome, I would argue that is the basis for intelligence, Human or otherwise.

It's a lot going on but it's also 9 mana so.

There would need to be an entirely new chapter of rules created just to interact with a players mana pool. And even if you could, this would become a replacement effect. Essentially replacing an opponents , for example, with .

Best way to do it is to say "Whenever an opponent adds one mana of any kind, they instead add no mana. This ability may only resolve once each turn."

This way all of the feeder tokens can trigger, but only one resolves, allowing the rest to trigger as intended.

This way if you have three feeder tokens and an opponent adds in that order, they'd only receive .

This is because perhaps your opponent tapped three mountains (each its own activated mana ability and thus subject to the triggers), they'd instead add , , .

Then perhaps they sacrifice two treasure tokens, one for and one for . They would keep those, as each feeder has resolved.

This would obviously create an absolute tremendous headache because so many players combo off rapidly and then you have to sit back and ask how they did it.

For example, adding from Sol Ring would actually get you . But what if they tapped Sol Ring to add the mana into filtering for Azorius Signet and Dimir Signet?

Now your opponent believes they have with three permanents tapped when in reality they have no mana, and both signets couldn't be activated.

A more "game appropriate" version is this:

"Whenever an opponent adds a colored mana to their mana pool, they instead add . This ability may only resolve once each turn."

This way you don't completely ruin the game.

Acidomancey is a very niche field of magic that is often mocked by other, more robust forms such as hieromancy and necromancy. That is, until you learn just how true it's destructive capabilities are.

Not a fan of acidomancy as a name but idk what that would be called. pH stands for Potential of Hydrogen, so that won't work. And "acid" negates the field of alkalinity, which is literally half of the spectrum.
