Been a off/on magic player for the last 15 years. Started playing 7th ed/Odessy I really didn't know what I was getting into and with peer pressure and all i jumped from TCG to TCG. Played Pokemon in middle School, Yugioh in middle/high school but Magic started to take over Senior year of High school. I played at local FNM tournaments, a small store, friendly players. After a year or two i started attending FNM and pre-releases frequently. In middle school I bought a 2000 World Championship Deck: Tom Van De Logt, and I had noooooo fricking idea how to play it, there were no creatures so to me I just didn't understand the win condition so I put it aside for a few weeks. One day I got board and went through my cards and came across this deck again and read the cards more thoroughly. After seeing what Opalescence did, it all made sense. That started my love for enchantments, haha. I got into MTGO when it launched, was pretty excited about that, threw a bunch of paychecks at that... Fun to play at all times of the day/night actively though. Also their deck builder programming was pretty nifty and easy to map out random decks. When I was really into MTGO i belive was Ravnica block, and i was drafting, playing some standards. Had some silly, non-threatening decks. But the worst part every win I just took lightly but every loss, I would just be blown away how cool the other deck was and wanted to copy it. I went through deck after deck never sticking to one this way... Eventually I played 1 person on extended, even though i had a standard deck (took forever to find opppenents at 4am my time..) He had a enchantress deck(G/W). Man it wasn't kicking my butt but boy did i love the mechanic of it. Of course I traded all my cards to bots or what not for tix, copied that guys deck from memory and changed/put my own flavor in it. That lead to my favorite card to this day, Mirari's Wake. It's a pretty broken, noobie card to like, I mean whats not to like? 5mana for an anthem for your creatures and doubles your mana source!!! So of course I expanded out into extended, playing with this Enchantress deck and had a decent winning %, about 85, which was high for me. After a while I just faded away from MTGO played more offline magic, just playing standard really. Around Shards block I was insanely into that block because of the multi-color theme. I love multi-color cards, disliking mono-color decks entirely (except elves/green, twas my first deck ever in 7th ed.)((my first foil was a llanowar elves))

Few years later, playing standard and heavily into Return to Ravnica block, because I also love multi-colored sets. I bought a case, since i now work at the store i very played at, so yay... discount and pay me in cards!

Just recently I got into EDH because it's spreading amoung all my friends and customers so my friends told me some basic things to build a deck. Like what my favourite colours were, and what sort of theme I liked. First thought was Enchantress deck, but my close friends have pretty aggro decks so i would have gotten destroyed. So I then thought of Elves, but that would mean mono coloured 100 card EDH? Doesn't seem ALL that fun. So after a day or two i had a list of 5 generals and which I eliminated all but 1, Mayael the Anima. She's a pretty noob-friendly general. She doesn't pose a threat really herself but she can cheat out large threatening creatures. So after some testing, and proxying(which is voodoo in EDH, but i only had close friends to playtest) i got a decent decklist down, which I alter every once in a while. It's really hard to be consistent in EDH so it's hard what to cut, because sometimes out of 20 games you wont ever see 3~6 cards! Now that I finished one EDH deck, which cost me a bit in trades and online stores... I'm trying to extend art/alter art some of the bombs just to personalize my deck. Because I see, when you have a deck you LOVE and know is DA SH!T, you either holo it out, art it up, or first printing some deulies and high priced cards! I'm also trying to make my enchantress deck, and a Jhoira deck at the same time XD. Waiting for gatecrash too, very excited to see all of my favorite guilds again!
