I started playing Magic when the Innistrad block came around. A friend of mine, and long-time Magic-player, told me the basics of the games. A few years later I have a playgroup with a couple of friends and we learn as we play.

What really got me into Magic: The Gathering is the mixture of Chess and Poker. In fact I feel like the fact how good you'd perform on those two fields reflects your way to play Magic.
